Moving payments to correct account

Hi, I have payments on account from doing the bank rec which should be on a different account, how do I move these payments to the correct account?

Negative cash receipt in the wrong customer to reverse the bad entry, then redo it properly in the correct customer.

Do you mean the correct bank account or the correct expense account? If you mean a different bank account then use GL Transaction Entry and for Format select Bank Transfer. If you mean from one expense account to another just use General Journal Entry

Assume we are talking about receivables? And that you selected the wrong BANK account?

If so, one way would be to enter a negative cash receipt to back it out. Then re-enter the cash receipt using the correct account.

I am having the same problem. We have customers with 2 types of accounts (parts & pivots). I need to move payments that were applied to the parts and put it on pivot.

What do you mean by "account"? Customer number? GL account? Bank account?
