Incorrect Qty on SO

So rebuilding sort files typically cleans this up, but we have an item code showing a warehouse having a qty of 8000 on Sales Order, but as far as we are aware (and as stated on the 'Orders' tab in item maintenance, the item is on 2 sales orders for a total of 3000.

Has anyone ever come across this situation where rebuilding sorts doesn't clear it up? Thanks!

Do a raw data query of SO_SalesOrderDetail. You are looking for entries where the associated SO_SalesOrderHeader row is missing. Rebuild sort files doesn't exclude orphaned line data.

Thanks for the reply Kevin. While there WERE orphaned detail records out there, unfortunately none of them contained the item in question

Any unposted RMA receivers? Have you exported the SO Lines file

I ALWAYS forget about RMA and was so hoping thats where the number was coming from, but unfortunately not. This client uses Premium so I'm able to easily query the detail table in SQLMS, but there is no sign of the item in question.

Could it be a matter of UOM? You have 3000 cases on a sales order but it is 8000 each in inventory
