What UOM is associated with Item Weight in item maintenance? I would like to allocate freight by weight for purchases and also be able to include weight in sales reports. Our Purchases, Standard, and Sales UOM are often different.
Thanks.

Everything in IM uses Standard UoM as the base.
Thanks, Kevin. Does Sage convert the weight for the different UoMs? I was unable to get the correct weight on my PO when I tested. My standard unit = LB with weight = 1. Purchases unit = Tote = 2,000 LB When created PO using Tote the weight came across as 1 when I was expecting 2,000. Thoughts?
Where are you checking? The PO_PurchaseOrderDetail field? I believe that is just a copy of the CI_Item field value. To calculate a line weight multiply that by quantity and the UnitOfMeasureConvFactor. IIRC Sage programming recalculates totals on the fly (eg. if you are allocating Landed Cost by weight...).
If you are using Tote, it would be 1, but LB should be 2,000. That's what the conversion factor in inventory is for.
