Markup Analysis Report has disappeared

SUGGESTED

I usually click on the Reports tab >Activity >Markup Analysis to print the Markup Analysis report, but it has suddenly disappeared from the Activity group.  I checked and it is not on my co-worker's computer either.

Co-worker has been running Windows 10 for a year now.  My computer was just upgraded to Windows 10 two days ago, so this is the first time I've tried to pull this report since then, and it is just gone.  I've searched all other report tabs to see if it was moved to a different location, but it is nowhere to be found.

>Help >Online User's Guide >markup analysis report does confirm that the Activity page is where this report should be found.

I am running Timeslips 2015.  Can you help?  Thanks.

You can go to reports > add a report and choose to add an existing report. Just find the report in the list and tell it to save on the activity tab.

I also already tried this yesterday and it does not help.  When you say "add a report", I'm assuming that is the same as what my version says which is "Find a Report".  If not, then I don't see where it says "add a report".

In "Find a Report", it does not show a list of already-existing reports.  It shows Data Type checkboxes for me to check the ones for the type of report I want to create.  I tried checking various combinations of data boxes and nothing results in a Markup Analysis report.

Also, just to make sure I've tried everything, I also went into "Create a Report", and none of the choices in that section resulted in the Markup Analysis report either.  One would think that the section that reads "Add a specific standard report to the report list" would have the needed report, but it is not in the list.

When you are looking at the Reports List, click the Yellow Plus sign in the right hand button bar.  The first option is "Add a specific Standard report to the Report List." Choose that option and click the Next button.  Scroll down the resulting list to Markup Report. Highlight it and click Name the report and decide which tab you want it to show up on. The report will be added.  (Note that if the original report was just MOVED and not DELETED, then Timeslips may prompt you for a different name.  It does not like to name reports exactly alike.)

You can then open the report details or just click Cancel and to finish the Create a Report wizard.

Adding the report on one workstations adds it to the database, so all users should see it.

    report list.pdf

Nancy, I tried this.  The Markup report is not in the list.  I'm including a screenshot of what I'm seeing.  The reports are listed in alphabetical order and it is not in the M's or anywhere.

Wow, okay, that is really weird.

I saved out a copy of that report from my v2015.  You should be able to RIGHT-click on the list of report names and IMPORT it back into your copy. But Sage City is not letting me upload the file (getting an error.)

Sounds like that report may have become corrupted on your copy of Timeslips for some reason.

Email me directly, and I will send it to you to try.

    Sample2 Markup Analysis report.pdf

Caren2, The report is not in the list of existing reports as you suggested.

I am attaching the last one I printed before it mysteriously disappeared from our Timeslips.  So now my question is:  Is there ANOTHER report or a DIFFERENT way that I can get the number circled in red on the attached report?  (We just need the Grand Total of the Final Values.  We don't look at the individual totals.)

    Thank you.

Email Nancy or I privately and we will send you the report definition to add to your system. Not sure why you aren't seeing it.

Caren2, I don't see where to find your email address?  I did privately email with Nancy on Friday; she sent the report for us to import; it didn't work due to an error message: "The report you are trying to install cannot be used with this version."  She sent v2015.  I am running v2015.  Also she sent a .rdf file which my computer did not recognize.

Since it has come to the point that I can't get this report, can I get to that information (grand total final values) in a different report or another way, please?

How did you import? Go to reports and then click on any report tab. Right click and import the rdf file.

If that doesn't work can you look if you are on the latest service release for Timeslips? You should be on Timeslips SR3. I don't know another report that will provide the total except possibly a custom report. I will try to private message you. The best bet might be a remote session.
