I don't see an option for turning it off.  You might have to modify the source code on the screen.

I haven't installed 7.4 yet, but I would be shocked if there isn't a way to turn it off.  Nothing in Set Up PO Options?

I think Tim is talking about the "Customer PO" field on the "Enter Sales Orders and Quotes" screen.  I don't see anything in the SO or AR options or under the customer record.

Also, the help text on the field states:

If a duplicate customer purchase order number is entered at this field, a notification is displayed warning you that the customer PO is already in use by another sales order.

The help text leads me to believe that it is something hard coded into the screen.

Oh yeah, I meant to type "Set Up SO Options."  Woops!

If you wanted to do your own customization, you could modify the stored procedure to bypass it's logic.

Adding a statement betweent the last two END statements should do the trick:

END
SELECT @oDupCount = 0 -- Added 10/25/2011 by Tim Rodman
END

Basically, I'm leaving the original logic in place, but changing the number of sales orders with duplicate POs to zero everytime.  This should trick the screen into not displaying the duplicate PO message.

I'd love to try this but I have been unsuccessful in getting another version of our DB to upgrade to 7.4 correctly. May be calling Mas 500 Support Monday...
