Creating Job Cost record on the fly from Sales Order

After Job Cost was updated to the Business Objects Interface Sage confirms but has not corrected two major problems (for us). When Sales Order is integrated with Job Cost there is the ability to create a new job from Sales Order Entry. When entering the Job Number on the Sales Order Entry Header, there is no validation whether the Job Number exists in History. A new record is created in JC_Job whether it is actually new or in JC_JobHistory. The newly created record cannot be accessed in Job Maintenance where validation does occur because that the job exists in history. You have to use Data File Maintenance to locate and delete this "ghost" record. Also, when creating any job on the fly from Sales Order, Sage does not update the Created By or the Created On fields which produces numerous problems for us. With no indication that this process of creating jobs from Sales Orders will be corrected any time soon, is there any way that one or both of these problems could be corrected possibly with a custom script?
