Sage 100: Sage 100 2016 use by SAN members

We have had an increase in calls from SAN members who are receiving a message in their Sage 100 2016 that their product has been expired, and that they are entering a grace period for the use of payroll. The last TTU for Sage 100 2016 was released in December of 2018, and the product has been retired.

In order to continue using Sage 100 you will need to upgrade to a supported version. The supported versions are 2017, 2018 & 2019.

We do understand that during this busy time of year an upgrade to the most current version, Sage 100 2019, may be too large of an upgrade with the significant changes. If you are unable to go through the payroll conversion at this time, we recommend upgrading to Sage 100 2017.6 to complete this tax season. We strongly recommend you then plan an upgrade to the most current version later in the year as the 2020 Q1 Tax Table Update will be the last TTU released for 2017 so you will need to upgrade before the end of the year.

Please note that if you need to calculate payroll for employees using the new 2020 Form W-4, you will need to either install 2018 or 2019 and Payroll 2.0, or manually calculate Federal withholding for employees who have used the new form. The 2020 Form W-4 is not available in Sage 100 2017.

For additional information about the Payroll Expiration Date in your product, please see Sage Knowledgebase article 82689.
