Creating Product Groups for Marketing

Hi All

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have been asked to created a marketing campaign for everyone who has purchased a specific product (let's call it "apples"). This is buried in Orders > Order Summary > Product Description.

Don't ask me why, but the actual order description just stipulates the Sage 50 Order Number.

It's possible to do a keyword search and save the Group based on that criteria, but as it's an Order view it does not contain the contact details and therefore is useless to me, for marketing purposes.

In an ideal world, I would love to have dynamic groups set up for each product type (e.g apples/oranges/grapes) that can be added to Waves and pushed to Mailchimp.

Can anyone help me? Or do I have to dive into SQL?

Thanks,

Nat.

    Hi Natalie,
If you just need to create a group based on the order summary header info and not line items.
Could you not use the Order Search view in a Dynamic Group?

Dependant on how you have Sage 50 integrated, will depend on what contact data you need within these views, you might need to consider how the order is linked to a contact/shipping address etc. as these are linked to the Opportunity.

If you take a look at the view Administration → Customisation → Orders → vSearchListOrders (Don't change this)

You could create a copy of that Group view and join the person contact data on another field if needs be. But don't worry we can help with you with that if you let us know what contact details you need.
