Unable to clear notifications

After upgrading to CRM 2017, the bell icon for notifications appears, however we are unable to clear notifications. i have hundreds of them and clear all does not work. if i clear one at a time they disappear eventually after like 3 minutes each but then on logout and log back in, they are all back again.

Is there a way to clear notifications for all users in one hit and start again?

We have exchange integration turned on and is working if that matters.

    Hello Josh,

    Please check the Upgrade logs for any scripts didn't run properly during the upgrade. Check for update_metadata.es.

    Also look in to the databse in Custom_Edit table if the entry for escalations is there like below,

    select * from Custom_Edits where ColP_Entity = 'Escalations' if not then please run update_metadata.es script or add in database manually,

    AddCustom_Edits('Escalations','Escl_DateTime',iEntryType_DateTime,'0','','0','','','','N','','');

    Restart IIS and se if it works.
