When Customer number is changed in Sage 300, The Sage CRM company linked to that Sage 300 Customer does not reflect the change. The Sage CRM company still shows the old Sage 300 customer number.

I don't know the Sage 300 integration but is the customer number used as a the foreign key to establish the connection between Sage CRM and Sage 300? And why would you change a customer number in an Accounting System?
Thanks Jeff for a quick reply, Its actually for a client and they have changed some customer numbers. I think the integration uses customer number as foreign key. I found a KB article regarding that but it explains how to avoid getting error but not changing Customer Number in Sage CRM.
Ganesh, is the CRM integration inside Sage 300 set to work with Web Services, if so when you update a Sage 300 record, there would be a Sage 300 Dunning Message that a customer record in Sage CRM has been updated. does this work as described ?
Hi Kannan, We get the message when we update any other field for example Address or Phone but while changing customer number it throws error 'E/W Sage CRM Customer File: Cannot Open Sage 300 View'
Hello. I was curious if there was a fix ever found for this. I am running into the same problem.
Best Regards,
Scott McHenry
You could try manually changing the customer id in CRM by changing the comp_idcust field. Within CRM, the following fields are used as the link to 300; comp_database, comp_idcust (or comp_idvend).
