Custom Entity - HasCompany and HasPeople question

I have a custom entity that HadCompany and HasPeople.

If I link an existing company, is there a way to bring over all the people in that company automatically?

What do you mean 'bring over'? What is the purpose of the custom entity? Would you not just reference the people at the company linked to the custom entity?
