Sage City Community Usage Guidelines

Welcome to the Sage City Community! Sage provides this Community as a service to its customers and partners to help them discuss Sage products and business support, by exchanging ideas, tips, information, and techniques related to those products. This Community is here for the enjoyment and benefit of all members and is accessible to those who register and are 18 years of age or older. Like any Community, Sage City will be most valuable when everyone obeys certain basic guidelines and rules for online behavior. These guidelines and rules are presented here so that you know what is expected of you and what you can expect from other participants when using the Sage City Community. By registering, you agree to follow these Community Usage Guidelines and to be bound by Sage’s Privacy Policy where applicable.

1. Keep it relevant

For everyone's benefit, please stay on topic. The Community is specifically provided to allow users and customers of Sage to help each other in using Sage products. Please refrain from discussing personal matters, abusing any company or product, or, in general, from posting in a manner unrelated to the resolution of issues regarding Sage products.

2. Keep it courteous

Everyone wants to have a positive experience while using the Sage City Community, so please make sure that you are not detracting from any other user's experience. In particular, please refrain from posting anything unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties. Your opinions are always welcome, but personal attacks and harassment ('flaming') in either the Sage City Community or through private messaging is not acceptable.

3. Keep it spam-free

The Sage City Community is provided as a service to Sage customers and partners and is not intended for the promotion of third party services, products, websites, or organizations. Please refrain from posting content that would constitute advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation.

4. Keep it legal

It is unacceptable to post any material (i) that would infringe on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party, (ii) that contains software viruses or any other computer code or files that are designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software or hardware, (iii) that is deemed to be illegal by any local, state, federal, or international law, rule, or regulation, or (iv) that suggests or encourages illegal activity.

5. Be careful

Most people are happy to help out in an online community, but remember that their advice is theirs only and that you are responsible for deciding whether to follow it. If the advice given by a user sounds wrong to you, do not try it. You should not post personal information on Sage City including your name and address, age, or phone number. Furthermore, if any user asks you for personal information, such as an account number, address, password, or credit card number, do not provide it.

6. Keep confidential information confidential

You may not use Sage City or the Sage City Community to disseminate or discuss any confidential information or personal data (as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation) about you, your company, Sage, or any other person or entity. You are solely responsible to ensure that anything you post does not contain information that may be deemed confidential or to be personal data by a third party. This includes any proprietary information, trade secrets, the terms or existence of Sage related agreements, nondisclosure agreements, sales or service agreements, any data identifying or relating to an individual, or any other information that may be deemed confidential.

7. Sage retains the right to remove content and limit users' access

Sage does not generally edit or monitor content posted by participants in the Sage City Community. However, Sage retains the right, at its sole discretion, to limit users' access to Sage City and to remove material that, in Sage's sole judgment, does not comply with the current Community Usage Guidelines, or that is otherwise inappropriate, harmful, objectionable, or inaccurate. Sage also retains the right to assign such right to some members of the Sage City Community. Sage is not responsible for any failure or delay in removing such material. Moderators may take any action they deem necessary in their own judgment to support the Community Usage Guidelines, and, in general, prohibit content that can detract from the experience of other users or the purpose of the support community. Such actions may include editing or deleting material and banning individual users. Violation of the Community Usage Guidelines or other terms could result in the suspension or termination of your access to these services. If your account is suspended, you will not be able to sign in.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Members like you are providing most of the material in the Sage City Community. Such third-party content is the sole responsibility of the person originating the material. Sage does not control and is not responsible for this third-party material.

9. Signature Guidelines

A Signature is a block of text that is appended to the end of a message or post. Generally, a signature is used to provide Sage City Community members with your name, business, and in some cases, a closing statement, quote, or funny remark that encapsulates your personality or personalizes the message. You have the option to type your signature into individual messages or use the Signature feature in your Member Profile settings. Signatures in the Member Profile will be limited to text only with a maximum of 250 characters in no more than 3 horizontal lines of text. All Signatures, whether automatically appended to a message from your Member Profile or typed separately should adhere to the following guidelines: They may contain a company name and/or email address but may not contain text directing members to an external web site. As a Community Member, if you are providing help to other members and you work for a company affiliated with Sage or your company makes a product that is considered an "add-on" to a Sage product, we ask that you place your company name in your signature. Sage does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, reliability, completeness, usefulness, non-infringement of intellectual property rights, or quality of any material that appears in the Sage City Community, regardless of who originates that material. You expressly understand and agree that you bear all risks associated with using or relying on the material. Sage will not be liable or responsible in any way for any content in the Sage City Community, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in the material, or for any losses or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of or reliance on any material.
