We setup the product allocation and issue rules within Product Category > Issue flow tab . This helps to identify the location of the stock for issue and allocation for a defined stock movement type.

Use the below setup for the work center allocation. Allocation Rule "ALL03" is used for the work-centre location:

Setup:

1. Use the allocation and Issue rule ALL03 on the product category in issue flow tab and populate "work station" for the location 1 for movement type "Work Order Issue", see below screenshot :

2. Assign a stock location on your work-centre , MAC001 work center location STO001:

3. Link the work-centre to your BOM routing:

4. On your BOM component setup remember to populate the routing operation code to you relevant component line, this link will associate the work-centre location to the component using the operation code.

5. when you raise a work order and allocate the raw material to the work order, you will see the work-centre allocation, if there is no stock at the work-centre location, system will generate the shortage.
