Importing employees to Sage online payroll

Hi,

We have always used an accountant to processour payroll but have decided to bring it in house. We are using Sage Business Cloud payroll, the accoiuntant has sent me an FPS file to upload but I just keep getting an error message saying upload failed and invalid file type.

Does anyone know why this might be or any suggestions how to resolve this please?

Hi Lindsay,

Has the accountant given you a .xml format file? That's the only type that can be uploaded.

HI,

Yes they have so I'm not sure why it won't upload.

Was the export from Sage or another application?
Does your accountant have an accountant's login to your Sage? Perhaps you could see if they can upload it to eliminate anything happening to the file in transit from them to you.
