quick entry or create in bank feed

hi there,

i have been using sage business cloud for just over a year now, and have been entering my invoices through quick entry and then matching them in my bank feed!

i have noticed that i can create an invoice in the bank feed directly thus this would be a lot quicker rather than trying to find my quick entry invoice via the match!

so my question is is this ok to do?

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for using Sage City please accept my apologies for the delay in response.

Did you manage to get your query resolved or is it still outstanding?

    Hi Malcolm,

I have this question too. I have noticed lots of questions i search for have 'have you resolved your query' rather than an actual answer. Sometimes i search the question to avoid repetitive questions but it seems i end up asking the question anyway because of answers like above. Shall I avoid searching for questions that have been previously asked as it seems not many are being answered now. I understand it may take a while for you to get back hence querying if it has been resolved, but answers help others on the forum, not just the person who has asked the question.

Sorry to go on, just thought that this is one fine way to  drive me away from the forum if all answers are generic

    Thank you

    Hi Gemma,

    Thank you for the question.

If the quick entry invoices are actual invoices you've raised I would suggest you continue to match them within bank feeds especially, for example, if they are on credit terms. If however there is no invoice involved and you are just creating a quick entry for say a miscellaneous payment then you could use the create function. Likewise if the invoice is paid the same day as it is issued you can also use the create option to create an other payment or receipt.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback in relation to responses, we aim to respond to all queries on the forum daily but occasionally queries can slip through the net and are picked up at a later date which has lead to the ‘have you resolved your query’ responses. We are working to address this so all queries are responded to promptly. Going forward, if replies have been outstanding, we’ll resolve to add an answer or advice in future in case answers are searched for.

If your query is urgent and requires a quick response we have a dedicated Live Q and A channel which can be accessed from here

    Regards,

    Malcolm
