Sage one - How do I import bank transactions after connecting to my bank?

SOLVED

In Sage One (Accounting) online I have connected the bank account, and new transactions are showing. I used to import them through an OFX file downloaded from the bank, then use 'Import Statement' as on this page: Sage Help.

Now I have connected my bank account it just shows 'Disconnect bank account', and I have a gap of a few weeks since I last imported a statement. Do I have to manually add entries in this blank period??

    Hi Joshua,

Thanks for using our Product Support Community.

To import bank statements, you must log in as the owner. The owner is the person who first signed up to Sage Business Cloud (formally Sage One) Accounting.

If you’re logged in as the owner and you’re still disconnected from your bank account, our Sage Business Cloud Support team will need to look into this for you. You can contact them  via web chat (at the bottom of the page). They’re available 24/7.

Hi Paul Morgan (S2691154) thanks for the prompt reply, but I think you have misunderstood.

The bank account is not disconnected. I am logged in as the owner. The only option that shows on the bank account is 'Disconnect bank account', where it used to say 'Import Statement'.

I simply want to import the statements as an OFX between the date when I last imported an OFX file (16th August) and when the bank account was connected (10th September). How can I do this?

I am guessing I can click 'Disconnect bank account' and the option to import will appear again, but then can I reenable it afterwards?

    Ok, thanks Joshua.

When Bank Feeds are linked you’re not able to import. You can select 'Disconnect bank account' and then the ‘Import Statement’ option will become available.

You can then set up and process bank feeds again as normal.

That's what I thought. Will I have to go through the whole procedure of printing out the authorisation and posting it again?

Yes, you’ll need to complete and submit the Bank feeds Authorisation form if your bank requires it Joshua, as disconnecting from Bank Feeds also remove the file with your bank, so new authorisation is needed.
