We are moving our payroll in house from the accountants from the new tax year.

SUGGESTED

We are moving our payroll in house from the accountants from the new tax year. They use star, we are going to be using Sage 50cloud Payroll. What do I need to get from the accountants in order to quickly import all my staff in with all details? Is there anything else I need to get from them to ensure this transition runs smoothly?

    Hi KazzaT,

Thanks for using Sage City Slight smile

I notice this query has slipped through without a community response, sorry for the late reply but I thought I’d pop something back to you.

I appreciate you may have already set up your software, but I wanted to follow up on your initial post. When moving from another software provider you need to create a new company in Sage 50cloud Payroll, then set up your company and employee details. Please click here to access our handy guide which covers all aspects of this process, including advice on importing employee details.

If the move to Sage takes place at the start of the tax year, no year to date values would need adding for your employees as there wouldn't be any at the start of the new tax year. If any payments have been processed and made in the new tax year before setting up in Sage, the employees' year to dates would need to be entered.
