Negative overall employee pension Contributions Cant Submit FPS

Question

A new employee has requested to opt out of pension within the required time frame. When I process the refund of &pound;15 it makes the overall pension contributions for the week for all employees a negative figure of -&pound;3 say . Consequently I cant submit the weeks Fps Error code 4084 bounces back from HMRC 
 What do I do ?

Error 4084 would suggest the employee's overall pay is negative and the refund shouldn't be enough to do that. I'd suggest contacting Sage Technical Support so they can look at this further for you. You can reach them here: Sage Technical Support >
