A new feature to create purchase orders from sales orders will be available in the next Sage 50 Accounts update (v29.2). 

 It would save hours if the delivery address from a HIGHLIGHTED  sales order could be transfered to a purchase order when using the shortfall and conversion to Purchase Order facility.  Our purchase orders are often emailled to suppliers for direct drop ship to customers.  We do have customer delivery addresses in the Customer addresses and contacts field, but very often address changes have to be made to recipients, telephone numbers, floor numbers, etc.etc.  The amount of clicking, pasting and copying to achieve the correct delivery details can often be excessive and would not be necessary if this change could be made.

This would be a hugely helpful facility, especially for products that need to be entered manually under 'S1' - all we'd then have to do is just go through and sort the prices but would save a huge amount of time if there's a direct link between purchase orders and sales orders!!! :) would it work both ways, or just one way?

Definitely, back to back sales/purchase orders are very crucial in our business to get accurate costings etc, which currently have to be done manually

Great idea, in the past I have used software from another company. This software gave you the option to create an individual order straight away or group the items with items from other sales orders to create a larger order from one supplier.
