Thanks for using Sage City.

You need to scroll down on the "authority to interact with HMRC on your behalf"  (On page 4 of your attachment) you'll then see a button that says continue.

By the looks of it you may of press remove authority,

Close the MTD screen and try the above.

No you don't need to remove anything. You should just need to press continue, resize the window or scroll down if you can't see it.

Ian, I have successfully transmitted VAT return, You are a lifesaver. I logged on to HMRC using "continue" and granted permission to Sage (valid for 18 months).

Great, please to hear it worked :) 

Even though it says permission is granted for 18 months, that doesn't seem to happen.  I've done 3 x quarterly VAT returns under MTD and each time it told me I had to grant authority again.  Not really a problem but don't be surprised if you have to go through the process again next time.

The 18 month period isn't retained in Sage 50. 

in v26 of Sage 50cloud Client manager we'll be enabling this feature but for non client manager versions you'll be asked to enter it every time you do a return.
