That's because it is not a true cloud application. Sage 50 is an on premise application that stores its data locally on the PC or network server. There are extra "cloud" features, like cloud backup, Office 365 integration, and data synchronization using Sage Drive. Sharing a Sage data set with Sage Drive relies on two way sync between the "master" machine to a copy of the data held in the Sage Drive cloud storage, which can then be used to sync to a slave or remote copy of Sage running elsewhere. It is never truly live or in real time, and relies on the internet connections of both master and slave, and, of course, that the master machine is switched on in order to sync.

If you really need true live real time access to your Sage data from local and remote sites, you could go for one of the hosted Sage solutions that are out there, or you could set it up on your own server and allow Remote Desktop access. Sage 50c is not a cloud application; that is why you are facing this issue. Sage 50c is hosted on local computers, and only the data files get saved in the Sage Drive.
