Unable to log in

Hi, We have downloaded the software on to a new computer but every time we click on the sage50 accounts we cannot log in, it says invalid username or password which we know are correct as we can log in the the old computer with no problems. We are able to click demonstration using the default manager but clicking on the company it will wil let us. Please advise. Thanks

    Hi Anthony,

    By default, the Sage Accounts logon details are as follows: 

    • Logon name: Manager
    • Password: There is no password, so leave the Password box blank.

    If you receive an 'Invalid Password' message, this suggests someone has assigned a password to the data since it was migrated over from your old computers. If this happens and you're unsure what the password is, you can try entering commonly used passwords, which include: manager, letmein, your company name, your Sage Account number, an employee name, a day of the week, a child's or pet's name.

    If required, we can perform a password decode for you. This involves a technician connecting to your PC remotely.

    To do this please contact our support line on 0845 111 5555 when you have access to the PC you're experiencing the problem on, ensuring you have Internet access.

    As stated above we can log on using manager and we can log on with all user names and passwords on the other pc but not the new one

    Ok thanks Anthony, so you mean you can access both your live company data and demonstration data using the default Manager login?

    If this is the case it appears that the Sage 50 Accounts software on your new PC isn’t being pointed to the same data as all of your other PCs, and therefore doesn’t have the same username and password settings in place.

    To resolve this you need to point the Sage 50 Accounts software on your new PC to the correct data, using the Company file on this PC. Full info on how to do this here.
