Sage 200 online very slow

We have just recently switched from sage 50 to sage 200c. Sage 50 used to run on an external server and sage 200c does not. It is painfully slow, for me and my colleagues. 

Does anybody have any ideas on how to get it faster? It is slow to log in, to open pages, to save transactions, everything. It is reminiscent of internet explorer in the 90s. 

Any ideas?

    The things that make Sage 200 run slowly

    On Premise

    Using WIFI (not supported)

    Using it on a lan connection running at under 1gb

    Not enough memory in the SQL Server,

    not enough processor in the sql server

    drive/drive controller contention

    Virtual Environments

    other Issues with infrastructure

    lack of database maintenance (indexes/statistics etc)

    Online/Standard/Education

    Using it online with a poor internet connection

    Using WIFI (not supported)

    Not enough Compute
