Upgrade to Sage 200

SUGGESTED

Hi,

We have been using Sage 50 Accounts and Manufacturing for the last 5 years.

However we are growing at a very high rate and more and more people are using SAGE. Nowadays we have 18 people using manufacturing (processing an average of 70 WO a day) plus around 25 using Accounts (processing an average of 100 orders a day) + invoices and all the rest xD

In the last few months we have came across with major issues regarding stock allocations and Sage keeps crashing all the time.

Would SAGE 200 be more  suitable for us?

Cheers

Samuel, it does sound like you may be reaching the limitation of the Sage 50 system.  Sage 200 should be a suitable replacement for you depending upon your requirements for the system.  It would offer the functionality of Sage 50 but with the ability to grow to support more users.  We have undertaken a number of Sage 200 Manufacturing installations with a similar (or greater) number of users.

As a guideline you should be able to migrate all of the accounts and manufacturing data from your current Sage 50 to Sage 200, but you may want to take the opportunity to 'cleanse' your data at the same time.

    Regards

Samuel, I appreciate that this response is a few days overdue, but @gary butler_1 is quite correct. Sage 200 is a very different product to Sage 50. Yes, static data can be migrated but the very reasons why Sage 50 is not meeting your requirements are good enough reasons to consider how you want Sage 200 to work for you.

The product is modular and not just Sage developed modules are available. You really need to engage with a Business Partner to understand and appreciate just what can be achieved.

From your post, my starter for ten would be Sage 200c Financials, Commercials, Bills of Material, Additional User Licences, and Sicon Manufacturing (incorporating Job Costing, Works Orders; Material Planning (MRP); and possibly shop floor data capture (if you want real-time stock \ component issues and labour tracking)

Feel free to contact me if you want further information or guidance
