You can download the Stock Items Import Format (XLS) - this file will include which columns can be imported and which can be updated via an import.

Looking at the fields (Preferred Supplier, nor the Supplier Stock code/Part number) that you would like to import, these will only import if you were creating a new code.

You are unable to import these (Preferred Supplier, nor the Supplier Stock code/Part number)  if the codes already exist as they cannot be updated via an import

Thanks, we did manage to get it to add the Preferred Supplier & Supplier Stock Code when we tested in our demo data when adding a stock item for the first time.  It makes sense now if you say that it does not update when making changes after it has been set up, this is what we were trying to do in our real data.

Seems a bit of a strange decision not to be able to change after being set up.  Thanks for your reply.
