We are looking at implementing works order processing.
I was wondering what the advantages of using works order processing are? Does this help with costing? Does this give you better reporting on the profit of each sales order?
Thanks

Thank you for your post on Sage City.
Works Order Processing on Sage 200 does not have a profitability drill down to its source, whether its source is a Sales Order or an Estimate, for example.
It would be possible by combining 2 reports, and would require some Sage Report Designer knowledge.
Please note: Sage 200 Manufacturing was withdrawn from sale effective 01 November 2020. Sage still provide technical support for existing customers who have the Manufacturing module.
Support will cease in line with the version the customer is using and you can view the dates on the Sage Knowledgebase. Please search for “ Sage 200 Software Lifecycle Policy ”
If you are unable to access the Sage Knowledgebase, or need further responses, please contact your Sage Business Partner.
If you do already have the Sage 200 Manufacturing module, and want to start using Works Order Processing, please also contact your Sage Business Partner.
Kind regards
Sage 200 Technical Support
