Month by Month Income statements

Posted By FormerMember

So, I'm trying to analyse income month by month, seems like the only way to do this is to run a report for one month, then export to excel, then cut and paste next month beside it. Only problem being... Where a category was created it does not show in previous months, so the rows on the spreadsheet get knocked out of alignment. See image:

Any way to fix that? Or ideally not have to manual output months and just have Sage export the whole thing?

In Sage 50 Canadian, (depending on the Edition and Version) there should be a report you can get if you:

Skip the Report Centre, go straight to Reports | Financials | Multi-Period Reports  for Income Statement.   Should show a contiguous block of one-month periods.

Where a category was created it does not show in previous months, so the rows on the spreadsheet get knocked out of alignment.

If you need non-contiguous months, use a comparative Trial Balance or Income Statement report, and only change one of the periods for your Excel copy / paste.

Also turn off 'Hide Accounts With Zero Balance'.
