You may have opened a different data file.  

The software of Sage 50 is like a wine bottle and the data is the wine.  The bottle can be used to carry different wine, which means the software can be used as a tool to open different data files you have created.

In your case, you will need to do a search of your data file, find the location of it and then browse to that location and open the data you want.
