You will need to copy the installation or download files currently on your old laptop. Depending upon the age of your current software will determine where the install files are located. If you look on your C;\drive look for the Sage folder. Inside the installation folder will be the files needed to install your Sage 50 product. Copy these to your USB storage device in a separate folder. In addition, do a backup of your current Sage data and copy it to your USB storage device in a separate folder. Take the USB storage device and copy the install files and your backup to your downloads folder on your new laptop. Double click the Sage install file from the downloads folder. You will need your client ID and serial number of your Sage 50 product. Once installed open the sample company to test whether it is working or not. Create a Sage Data folder on your C:\drive. If the Sample company is working then restore your backup to the new computer to your newly created Sage Data folder using the restore feature in Sage 50.
