Does anyone else have the installation files by any chance, that isn't just trying to make a quick buck (or in Brea's case, $125 - no wait, Randy actually according to their signature in their email)?

The original installation would have unpacked to c:\Sage, but that's not going to be much help once the hard disk has been overwritten. 

There are some pretty good un-delete tools for Windows that may be able to get it back, if it has been deleted but not overwritten. 

BTW There is one download for all Editions, and bilingual language is a setting.  There were 4 releases in 2016, you will need the one that matches your license key and data.

The 'What's new' PDF is working, but the download link https://cdn-dlm.esd.sage.com/Sage50CanadianEdition/12472/SA_20163CP1.exe is broken. 

Have you tried Sage support for it?  They may have intentionally taken it down due to license restrictions, or the link may have been broken in one of the bazillion website changes. 

In any case, I would think that since you bought it from them, and they kept your money, they might be kind enough to give you access to the product you paid for, even though it may have been a couple of years ago. 

Most I.T. consultants, Sage Partners and Accountants keep backups of their installation, you might try your accountant if Sage is recalcitrant.

If I have backups, it isn't by chance, it's by careful planning.  I might have some of them, it depends which exact release you need.  And without the serial number and keycode it won't do much good.

It takes a lot of time and effort to file and document every software installation.  We pay a consultant over $17,000 a year to take care of it.  I doubt they would set your computer to the correct time of day, for $125.00

Yes, I contacted Sage, they actually suggested I try posting here to see if someone could share an installation file. I was hoping they'd be of more help, but unfortunately, there appears to be nothing more they can do.

I have backups of my accounting info that I've saved every time I exited the software. I still have my key and serial code. Since I had the download link (purchased it online), I never thought I'd need to keep a copy of the installation file. Lesson learned, trust me!

I understand that companies do pay for the work they need done. I guess I wasn't expecting a company to reply. I was thinking more just someone who had a physical copy or was smarter than me and actually saved the installation file. I have moved on to another software since the beginning of the year but need to print off a report from last year, which is the only reason why I'm looking for this. I wasn't able to import last year's data into the new software so I can't access it any other way.

Provided you still have access to a Windows 7,8, or 10 computer, you should be able to download an evaluation copy, convert your file, and run all the reports & export to PDF, TXT, or Excel before it expires:

Provided it's Pro or higher (Premium, Quantum) it should open and convert your backup or saved file.

Thought of a workaround for you, if you have your product codes (which should be available on the Customer Portal) you can use the install file for the 2016.2 version here  https://www.sage.com/ca/about-us/education. The 2016.2 student version hasn't been marked for obsolescence yet and is the same install file. Note that your data may be upgraded to 2016.4 (<-install this after). Make a habit of keeping all install files and product codes backed up in the future*
