Accounts are not in logical order – troubleshoot?

SUGGESTED

I have this message trying to open/create some reports to print.

‘Your accounts are not in logical order. The reason is: there is a missing Subgroup Total before account ‘1060 Chequing Bank Account’

Until this issue is resolved, you cannot open some of your reports.’

Have a look at the image below.  The account below the bank 1060 is an A account (see arrow).  My guess is that one of your's is a G account.

Ok there is no image.  The Upload button is missing from the dialog again, sorry.

Go to the Company page and open the Chart of Accounts.  There is a column for your account number and name, and a column for the Type.

Do you see account 1060, something else below and then the Cash subgroup total account (possibly account 1075 - Type S)?  Are all the accounts between the account 1060 and this S account labelled as Type A or is there one a G?

If it is G, then change it to A.

If this doesn't work, please let us know what these columns look like for you between the bank and your S account and what you want them to show.  I am assuming you just added a new account to that area.  We don't need dollars, just the first two columns.  You can use the Chart of Accounts List report to make the information more clear if it will show up on screen.
