Important: Sage X3 HR & Payroll - RSA TERS Benefit Extended - Update

Good day X3 HR Users,

The Minster of Employment and Labour has extended the TERS benefit from 16 March 2021 to 25 July 2021 for certain sectors that have not been able to operate, and employees that remain affected by regulatory restrictions.

These Covid19 TERS benefits have been extended for certain categories of employees and coverage will not be identical for all sectors. Please click here to view the new Direction.

Two annexures were published containing a list of sectors. The sector in which the business operates will determine the template to be used.

Two new CSV Templates have been published on the TERS website (see attached):

  • Annexure A Template, and
  • Annexure B Template.

For the Annexure A template:

Column O now refers to ‘Remuneration For Work Done Or Work To Be Done from 16 March 2021 to 25 July 2021’.

Therefore, the employer must complete +/- 4 months and few day’s remuneration for the application period of 16 March 2021 to 25 July 2021.

Employers are reminded that advances, ex gratia payments, or income related to annual or other leave, should be excluded from this value.

For the Annexure B template:

Column O now refers to ‘Remuneration For Work Done Or Work To Be Done from 28 June 2021 to 25 July 2021’.

Therefore, the employer must complete +/- 1 month’s remuneration for the application period of 28 June 2021 to 25 July 2021.

Employers are reminded that advances, ex gratia payments, or income related to annual or other leave, should be excluded from this value.

IMPORTANT: It is the user’s responsibility to update the heading of Column O to reflect the correct date for the specific sector the company operates in (as explained above) after generating the TERS file for the Sage X3 HR & Payroll system.
