Known Issue : Error Message "Method Not Found" on Release 5.7a when running reports

Sage VIP Classic & Premier
The following issue has been identified on Release 5.7a when printing the following reports: 
  • TERS report
  • ETI Validations
  • UI19 report
  • Service Certificate

Example of the error:

The issue also affects previous versions when running similar reports.

Solution:

A patch file for the above error is now available on the Sage Portal
Note: The updated patch file is only available for systems on Release 5.7a
FAQ's
How do I download the patch?
  • Using the link above to log into the Sage Portal with your Site code, email address, and password
  • Go to Product Updates, & choose your Product
  • Click on the Release 5.7a block
  • Scroll down to "Patch File Downloads"
  • View the error Method Not Found Class: ReporterLibV2.ExcelExportCreator  
  • Click on Download to save the files to your computer (the download location will be determined by your browser settings)
How do I extract the patch to my payroll?
  • Download the .zip file and extract the contents of the file to your payroll directory (overwriting existing files).
  • A restart of your computer is recommended
  • For each user logging into the payroll application, Full Administrator rights will be required for the first login after the installation of the update. This is a once-off and can be removed again after the first login. A workstation reboot will be required if the user does not have full access.
  • The patch will install a new version of Sage VIP Runtime

How do I know if the patch was installed successfully?

  • You will get a message to overwrite the existing file - you must say Yes
  • When you run the report again, the error message will no longer appear
