Mauritius: Change to Monthly PAYE and Contribution return

The Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) is required to pay a monthly Contribution Sociale Généralisée (CSG) income Allowance of Rs1 000.

The allowance is payable to employees whose taxable emoluments for the month, excluding the statutory end-of year bonus, does not exceed Rs50 000. See attached circular by the MRA.

 The Monthly PAYE and Contribution Return has been updated with the following change:

  • A new column at the end: “Emoluments excluding Exempt Emoluments and Statutory End-of-Year Bonus (MUR)”.

Effective date is June 2022.
