The 2020 tax files for Zimbabwe was initially released on 20 January 2020. Click here to see original post.
Effective 1 January 2020 the following changes should be made in addition to the original changes:
- The tax deduction for pension contributions has increased from ZWL43 200 to ZWL54 000 per year.
Take note, if you make use of Annual Tax Tables the calculations will backdate to the beginning of the tax year.
Before installing the software, take note of the following:
- Your payroll software must be on Release 5.4a.
- Ensure you are in a new pay period when loading the new tax file.
Click here to visit software downloads page and follow the instructions below:
- Select the Africa tab.
- For installation instructions click on the Download button next to Africa Tax Changes Installation Notes for Premier/Sage200c or click here.
- Click on the Download button next to Zimbabwe Statutory Changes for Premier/Sage200c: R5.4a (March 2020 – File Version: 202003) and follow the installation instructions.
- For more information on the Zimbabwe tax update, refer the document "Zimbabwe - Additional Information.pdf" included in your download.
- Once installed, ensure to do a General Recalculation in all Zimbabwe payroll companies.
