Employer Annual Reconciliation (EMP501) 2018/2019 Submission Dates - 17 April 2019 to 31 May 2019

Please note that the annual reconciliation submission period will open on 17 April 2019 and close on 31 May 2019.

There has been no notifications on the SARS website, however The Payroll Authors of Group of South Africa (PAGSA) has confirmed the submission dates with SARS.

We urge all customers to do preparation and submit the reconciliation on e@syFile as soon as filing season commences, to avoid the deadline rush.

Need assistance with you submissions?

  • Hi,

My clients would like something in writing stating when we should be doing the annual reconciliation submission.  Has SARS issued any statement with the dates that you have indicated above?    Alternatively is there any website I could refer them to too confirm that we should not be submitting the IRP5s via Easyfile yet.

    Regards,

    LEANNE

    Hi Leanne,

The Payroll Authors Group of South Africa (PAGSA) confirmed with SARS and provided all payroll authors (payroll software companies) with the submission dates, and provided to feedback to their members. (you can also join them as employer on https://www.pagsa.co.za/)

Based on social media comments, there seems to be a lot of uncertainty there are multiple posts of people who have indicated receiving contradictory information from SARS.

We will ask our Compliance team to confirm if any new notifications or publications have been released.

    Hi Leanne,

We have sent you a mail with the information we received from PAGSA. It basically verifies the dates confirmed, is the 17th of April to 31 May 2019, due to the SARS IT systems migration process happening 12 to 16 April 2019.

SARS has not issued any notices or statements, but we have received the confirmation via PAGSA from SARS about the filing season dates.

We are aware that some clients have submitted to SARS, however we are no sure what the impact of the migration would be.

In the best interest of our Sage customers, we would keep with the suggested dates on this post.
