Release 5.1a: New patch file for IRP5s (updated 19/10/2018)

Sage has released updated patch files for Release 5.1a, to address the following issues related to the IRP5 files and import into e@syFile:

  • IRP5 code 4497 exports as a value of zero in the IRP5 file where the total of all values specified under code 40-deductions, 44-contribution and 45-information codes is zero. This was not an issue in the previous versions. The e@syFile validation failed the import of the IRP5 file with no reasons provided. Click here to read more. This was also resolved with e@syFile v6.9.2.
  • The ETI set recalculated to 0 for new employees loaded since June 2018 when you ran the ETI Period Recalculation on R5.1a+.  (The patch file will export the set as 1 in cases where there is ETI with a 0 set on the screen)
  • When exporting IRP5s for multiple companies the Grand Total values for deductions and Fringe Benefit values prints against incorrect codes on the reconcilaiiton report. The export file values are however correct.
  • ETI Remuneration, ETI Hours and ETI Actual Wage must be zero if the calculated ETI value is zero for a specific month. The patch changes the values on code 7002, 7007 and 7008 to zero, when the ETI value is zero in the specific month (new item). This was a validation changed on e@syFile v6.9.2.

  • Hi Francois,

After downloading and extracting the files to the 200c systems folder, shouldn't 200c now show the version as 5.1a+?

    Hi Mililani,

The IRP5 ACU files in the patch file will override the existing files when extracted, but it will not change the system version or add a character to the version number. If you access the Sage 200c system folder, the date modified will reflect 23/10/2018 for the following files:

The 5.1a+ version was released in September 2019, as it included patch filesrelated to ETI. The IRP5 report was changed multiple times due to changes made on the SARS e@syFile software.

If your system is currently on Release 5.1a+ with the IRP5 patch, you will be on the latest version of the 200c software available at present..

    Hi Francois,

The IRP5 ACU show the last modified date as 23/10/2018 so I assume we are running on latest 200c patch?

  • in reply to Mililani J Batisani

Yes, that means you have the latest IRP5 patch file. If your system still reflects 5.1a and not 5.1a+, it indicates that the ETI fix was not installed - the 5.1a+ version came out middle of September (we replaced our installer and advised clients to download and install new software. We then had a separate patch for IRP5 reports, which only updated the report with the validation changes.

If you are on 5.1a and installed the IRP5 patch, it means the ETI fix was not applied. In this case we would recommend that you download a new installer from our website and install the 5.1a+ software, but will have to install the IRP5 5 patch again afterwards (the installer on the website does not include the IRP5 patch).

Ok, thank you. It makes more sense now. Can you please give me the link for downloading and installing the 5.1a+ software

  • in reply to Mililani J Batisani

The current software on the Customer Zone is Release 5.1a+ software - you can follow these steps:

    • Log in on the Customer Zone
    • Click on Updates
    • Select Sage 200c from the dropdown list
    • Click on "Click Here to View " in the section titled "Sage200c VIP – Release 5.1a" - this is currently the 2nd option on the list of updates
    • Select "download software" on the applicable installer (we have a 32bit and 64bit available)

Once the installation is complete, thus system version will reflect 5.1a+ when the user log into into a company (will not reflect the + on the Company Listing screen)
