Hi

Employees that was not linked for Bonus Provision was not taxed when the Bonus was paid Using Separate Payslips (weekly payrun) .  When the normal weekly pay run was done now the system taxed these employees to the effect of negative nett pay.

Please can you assist in why and if there is something that should be done.

    It will also depend on the processing that was done on the main payslip once bonus payslip was printed.

    We advise that as much as possible input must be done on the payslip for the tax calculation to calculate on each payslip.

    Example if no other processing was done by the time the bonus was paid and payslip printed the system only used the bonus as taxable remuneration and the employee might have been over the tax threshold and no tax calculated.

    With the addition of other normal payslips items the employee went over the tax threshold and the tax calculated all on the normal payslip seeing that bonus payslip was frozen.
