The SDL Holiday is according to the current bill applicable from May 2020 until August 2020 (4 months).

• The September 2020 release will include an activation of the SLD percentage to 1%. (subject to change if new information is published).
• Users will also be able to manually change the SDL percentage on the Basic Company Screen as from September, or if they do not install the update in September 2020.

The additional ETI relief is currently applicable from April to July, and the additional ETI table (Which includes the increased values and Set 3) will only be applicable within these periods.

• The original ETI sets will be applicable as from August 2020 (subject to change if new information is published)
• The ETI calculation will automatically return and apply the ETI table based on the company dates.
• Only if your company is not Wage Regulated by NMW or sectoral determination  (thus the minimum R2000 applies), you will need to unlink your employees from Wage Regulating Measure and link the correct minimum wage code, to apply the Wage Test accordingly..

I just want to update you on the answer I previously provided.

We have received confirmation that the SDL 1% which will become applicable again as from September 2020, will not be automatically be changed from 0% to 1% by the Release 5.5a update.

Users will be required to manually change the SDL percentage on the Company Listing screen.

This will be mentioned in our Newsflash for October, and the system will also give the following warning message when you do a Start of Period to September 2020.

Warning message: PLEASE NOTE: Before you process your payroll, please go the Company, Basic Company Information to - Set SDL Percentage to 1.0000%

Thank you for the reply regarding SDL

ETI - Are we sill happy for the system to auto apply the correct sets from Aug 2020?  Any new information that we should note? Or can we just double check the ETI setup?

I would also like to know if the ETI shall remain the same (additional ETI relief)- or shall we revert back to what it was.  How many months was it applicable for?  Same period as for the SDL?
