Sage Cloud Fringe Benefit Group Life Cover

Good day,

We are hoping to switch from Desktop to Cloud, but we are struggling with how to deal with Group Life Cover Fringe benefit on Cloud payslip definitions.

On Desktop we used codes 6404 Group Scheme Employer Contributions and 9404 Group Scheme Employer Contribution.

I am struggling to get a decent response from support on how that would be treated and entered on Cloud version.

The definitions available are just Taxable Company Contribution for General Fringe Benefit - Unapproved fund - so it is not clear if this is the description to be used, the SARS IRP5 code matches, but it is not a fund we are adding.

I would really appreciate some guidance on how to enter the "2 legs" into the cloud payroll from someone who has done it?

    Good day Marcelle,

The definitions on SBCP are predefined and a user can copy the available to create a custom definition.

The client can copy the taxable company contribution definition, and rename the Descriptions (description, report print description & payslip print description). Once the definition is saved then the system will prompt the user to add the definition to a payslip definition template. After adding the definition to the template then it will be available to add on the payslip.

We have KB articles to guide the user on how to add a definition.

The process of creating a transaction/definition on SBCP is not the same as Sage Pastel Payroll but the application of the SARS source code is the same. They will only use one code on SBCP as the recommended definition (taxable company contribution) has the required general fringe benefit SARS source code 3801 that they want to use.
