Employment Equity Amendment Act 4 of 2022

The Employment Equity Amendment Act 4 of 2022 was promulgated on 14 April 2023.

In summary, the following changes will become effective when the official date is announced:

  1. Employers with fewer than fifty employees will no longer be regarded as designated employers and do not have to submit Employment Equity (EE) reports
  2. The submission date of the EE reports will no longer be due on the first working day of October but rather a date prescribed by the minister (this will be communicated in a gazette)
  3. Certain employers will have to comply with sectoral numerical targets
  4. Possible changes to the EEA2 and EEA4 reports

Any system changes required will be included in a future release on your Sage Payroll application, and will be communicated here on Sage City and the product Release Notes
