The latest update to Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional Release 5.9b is now available and it includes a few new features that will help you to process your payroll.
What is included in this update?
- Backups and Tax Year End Instances changes
- Tax Table changes: Rwanda, Uganda and Zimbabwe
- New statutory reports: Nigeria
- Changes to existing statutory reports and bank files for Africa Tax Countries
- System modifications and issues resolved

An onscreen pop-up message will display the above information when you log in,
When you launch your payroll, the following message will display:
You will have the option to Update Now or Later:
- Update Now which will convert the data to the new version and apply the new changes, and is recommended to be done only if all companies are in new pay period or
- Later which will allow you to continue to work on the current version (for example you have not rolled into a new pay period).

Q: My payroll companies are still in December 2022. Can I install the update?
A: As with all other updates, it is recommended to update your payroll when your payroll companies are in a new pay period, before printing final reports and payslip, and paying your employees. Select "Later" to update your payroll once your companies are in a new pay period.
