The Finance Minister delivered the Budget Speech on 17 March 2021. 

Tax policy and tax administration reforms affecting payroll:

• The long overdue official launch of the Namibian Revenue Agency (NamRA) is diarized for 7 April 2021.
• It is proposed that the tax deduction limit for contributions to approved pension fund, provident fund, retirement annuity fund and premiums to educational policies be increased from N$40 000 per annum to N$150 000 per annum. This is only a proposed amendment.
• After consultation with various stakeholders, Government decided not to increase the general tax rates.
