Unclaimed ETI for prior month(s)

SOLVED

Hi there everyone.

Hope all is keeping safe during this bazarre times.

A big shout-out and thank you for the SageCity community who are on the ball and active on these forums.

My question doesn't have anything to do with the change in ETI legislation, rather simply put, we have a few employees who were eligible for ETI-deductions, but it was never claimed due to their employee information not being properly set up and linked to a minimum wage.

As far as my understanding goes we cannot claim ETI further back than when the last 6-month period ended, so we sadly have to forfeit ETI amounts up and till Feb'2020.

However, with March'2020 the new 6-month period started and I should be able to get March's ETI claim.

What is the best practice for me to do this? Can I edit the 'ETI-history', must I lodge a manual claim or make an adjustment?

The ETI Minimum Rate for these employees were incorrect (R2000 instead of +- R21) and triggered the comment below:
But I know this is mistake, as the wages earned was in fact above the minimum rate.

Any advise on how to proceed with this?

The April amounts seem to be calculating correctly, in line with the new temporary relief measures made to ETI.

Good evening. It is a pleasure to provide information on Sage City and keep our clients informed.

We recommend you contact a registered tax practitioner to discuss what options are available. The only information we can provide is that all your EMP201s will need to be reinstated as the new ETI calculated values will have to be completed. The ETI utilized for the respective periods will remain the same and then the ETI carry forward and ETI brought forward will need to be completed as well up to the point you will be claiming it all.

The tax practitioner will be able to guide you through the process as assisting with the EMP201 process falls outside the scope of Sage Support.
