National Treasury published a Media Statement and the SCoF (Standing Committee on Finance) Briefing Post Announcement presentation.

According to these documents the draft Bills containing the further relief measures as announced by the President on 21 April 2020, will only be published on 30 April 2020.

The additional relief measure will only be applicable from 1 May 2020. More information on possible software changes will be communicated once the Bills have been published and reviewed.

The current release 5.4b contains all the required ETI changes applicable from April 2020..

Thank you for the response. 

There is a bit of confusion around the amount to be claimed. It has been documented by SARS that the amount for April, May June and July is R1750 and not R1500. 

Has Sage received any clarity on this and the implementation?

Hi MegganF. We are most likely going to bring out another update towards the end of May to accommodate these changes. We are waiting on further information i.r.o the backdating of April. The additional amounts for April may be claimed on any EMP201 in this 6-month reconciliation period, i.e. May – August. Once we have confirmation we will communicate on Sage City.
