We have become aware of a specific import error message on e@syFile, related to employees who qualify for ETI:

Scenario:

The employee is linked to a valid SEZ (Special Economic Zone) code on payroll, and is either yourger or older that the qualifying age. The employee ETI thus qualifiesm and the amount calculated is valid.

When you import the IRP5 file into e@syFile, you receive an error on the employee.

Monthly Calculated ETI (7004) If employee’s age for the specified month is less than 18 or greater than and or equal to 30, then this field must be zero (0.00), value supplied (xxx.xx) for ETI Month xx (age=30)

Solution:

We have received confirmation that this is an issue on the current version of E@syFile 6.9.7, and will be resolved in the following version. You will thus not be able to import your file until the software has been updated. The current Release 5.3a IRP5 layout is correct.

No release date has been confirmed as yet by SARS when this will be released - all enquiries related to the new version can be discussed with SARS on 0800 00 2722.
