Report changes:

Kenya | New iTax PAYE Online – New P10 | Change in the reporting frequency of the Industrial Training Levy Effective October 2022, the Industrial Training Levy should be processed and paid to the Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA) on a monthly basis by the 5th day of the month after the levy is due. Previously, the Industrial Training Levy contributions were paid to the KRA on an annual basis. The contribution amount remains unchanged, KShs50 per employee. The Industrial Training Levy is reported on the iTax P10 return, sheet M1. A new user selection field is available to select the frequency. Available options: Monthly or Annual |
Uganda | PAYE Return | The heading of column S of Schedule 1 has been renamed from: “Does employee fall under fixed tax rate of 30%)” to “Is the Employee in secondary employment or fixed tax rate?” |
Zambia | P16 Return | The Tax Payer Identity Number (TPIN) is now a mandatory field |

To accommodate the Citibank Global System, a change has been made to the Citibank CDFF ACB layout. When you select the EFT option upon export a new selection field has been added: File Format The default option will be “Original format”, but it can be changed to “Global format” If you select “Global format” the characters “CB” will export in the Global File indicator position in the file. (It is between placeholder for Payment and a placeholder field} |
