It has come to our attention that employers have received ETI errors (Error 1777) on the EMP501 Status Dashboard in e@syFile after submission (see below).

SARS has confirmed that this is a system error on their side where e@syFile accepts the submission and sends it to SARS system. The SARS system then incorrectly rejects the additional ETI indicator (source code 7005 = ‘3’) and sends the below errors back to e@syFile.

The SARS system was updated during the past weekend to correct this error.

Clients who have received this error, must resubmit from 21 September 2020. You will be prompted to update your SARS e@SyFile application to version 7.0.8 on access.
