Individual Filing Season 2021

The SARS Commissioner published Government Gazette 44571 on 14 May 2021, prescribing who is required to file an income tax return before certain deadlines, for year of assessment 2021 (1 March 2020 – 28 February 2021). Individual filing season starts on 1 July 2021. Read more.

UIF Contribution Limit Increase Effective 1 June 2021

The UIF contribution limit has increased to R17 712 per month effective 1 June 2021.
Therefore, from 1 June 2021, the UIF contribution limit is aligned with the UIF benefit limit.

The new tax rates for Botswana have been published in the Income Tax Amendment Act, 2021, and are effective from 1 July 2021.
