I have a client that has Payroll installed and running on a Windows 10 based "server". They have 2 client desktops who are experiencing very poor performance. For example if they are processing a payslip and type in the amount of hours and press enter/tab then the client hangs for around 5 to 10 seconds before letting them do the next thing.
I have taken a look at all the common reasons:
- Antivirus - Uninstalled with no change so reinstalled. Exceptions were also added
- Shared folder permissions - All permissions correct
- Network setup - Gigabit Networking
- TCP/IP V6 - Disabled
- Pervasive Gateway - Set gateway to local client on each one.
None of these has made any difference. I have looked at every resource I could find online and haven't been able to find a solution.
When accessing the companies directly on the server there is no problem.
